Information from the School of Business and Economics
about the autumn semester 2020
The School of Business and Economics strives to offer as high quality teaching and service as possible for our students during the current pandemic. Due to Corona, the teaching structure for courses/programs will vary during the autumn:
- Some courses, mainly for bachelor programmes year 1, are given on campus as planned.
- Other courses, often the large groups, have a combination of lectures digitally via Zoom and seminars on campus. They might alternatively have the majority of the course digitally due to the maximum 50 regulation.
- Courses with international students are given either completely digitally or as a hybrid, which means that students can participate both digitally and on site.
It is important that you as a student keep track of your schedule and the information in the course room or programme room in MyMoodle so you know what applies to you! Contact your programme coordinator, course coordinator or our faculty office if you are unsure of what applies.
Corona also entails requirements for adapted accessibility, both physically and digitally for us who work at LNU. Our goal is to have continued high service and availability during the autumn. Contact with teachers, student councellors, faculty administration, internationalization, etc. is conducted via Zoom, email or telephone. See lnu.se for contact information. In addition to this, the office in Kalmar and Växjö will be on site at 9-15 on weekdays.
The teachers will be on campus to the extent required by the courses, but according to the Swedish Public Health Agency's directive, will be working from home whenever possible.
For security reasons, some doors to the School of Business and Economics' premises will be locked (not lecture halls, computer rooms, etc.). If you need to physically meet a teacher or staff in the office: Get in touch via email and book an appointment. If you do not know who to contact - email ekonomihogskolan@lnu.se to get help with your question.
At the School of Economics, we together take responsibility for limiting Corona by staying home when we are ill, keeping our distance and washing our hands continuously, just as we will do in all contexts this autumn.
Welcome to the autumn semester 2020
