In this course you will explore current topics in Informatics through the lens of the Design Thinking process. Working in groups, you will define a relevant design challenge, empathise with users, generate ideas, and develop prototypes that are iteratively tested and refined. The course combines lectures, workshops, seminars, and tutoring sessions, which guide you step by step from problem framing to reflection. Instead of a stand-alone project proposal, you will progressively build your project through assignments connected to each activity, problematising your design challenge in Seminar 1 and later connecting your results to academic literature in Seminar 2. The course culminates in a Final Project Report and Presentation, where you document and communicate your design process, outcomes, and reflections.
