    Study Abroad – Important Dates & Application Workshops

    Here you will find all important dates for the Study Abroad application period, as well as information about our workshops where you can get hands-on help with your application.

    7 October – Study Abroad Kick-off in Kalmar- Get a clear picture of you International Possibilities and how to move forward.

    13 October – Application period opens
    You can now start submitting your application for exchange studies.

    🛠️ Application Workshops from 19 October

    Need help with your application? Come to one of our workshops and get hands-on support with completing and submitting your application.

    We have also booked classrooms where you are welcome to sit and work on your application. Drop by with questions or simply come and work on your application with support available.

    Double Degree: One year in Bern, Switzerland

    There are collaborations with some partner institutions that allows students to get a degree from LNU as well as from the partner institution. It is only through these agreements that a degree from the partner institution is possible.

    This opportunity applies to The International Business Programme:

    You can spend your entire third year at FH Bern, Switzerland. If you pass all the prearranged courses, you will receive a degree from LNU as well as one from FH Bern after this year. All courses for this semester have been pre-organized so that there are no free course choices. You apply for this by choosing FH Bern in the partner list and stating in your application that you want to do a double degree and not just an ordinary exchange semester.

        Work Experience Abroad

        Tyska och praktik i Tyskland 30 hp är en unik kurs som kombinerar språkstudier med en 12 veckors praktik i Tyskland. Vår målsättning är att matcha varje student med en praktikplats inom deras studieområde – oavsett om de studerar/har en examen inom ekonomi, statsvetenskap eller ingenjörsämnen, bioteknik, juridik, media, miljö, medicin, humaniora eller något annat ämnesområde. 

        Vi på Internationella Skolorna Düsseldorf har över 20 års erfarenhet av att förmedla praktikplatser till svenska studenter, och har ett nära samarbete med Svenska Handelskammaren i Tyskland och Svenska Ambassaden i Berlin. 

        Vårt nätverk för praktik omfattar ca 100 företag och organisationer inom 30 olika studieområden. Till våra partners hör IKEA, Siemens, Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf, agenturen Nordis, advokatbyrån Osborne Clarke, Düsseldorf Tourismus, sjukhuset Helios, skolor, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt mfl. 

        Högskolekursen i Düsseldorf är kostnadsfri, CSN-berättigande och genomförs på uppdrag av Stockholms universitetet. För att vara behörig behöver studenterna endast ha läst tyska på gymnasiet. Praktikkursen äger rum under höstterminen 2026.

    Transfer of credits after your exchange

    After your exchange, your courses need to be transferred into the credit system used at Linnaeus University, "LADOK".

    After your studies abroad, the host university sends your grades (Transcript of Records) to either you personally or to the International Office at LNU. If the ToR is sent to the International Office first, they will send your grades to us or to you directly when they receive it from the host university. When you have received your ToR, send it to the International Coordinator at the faculty (mobility.sbe@lnu.se). 

    You can expect to see your grades from the exchange in Ladok within 30 days.
