Welcome to Linnaeus University
You have applied and been accepted (given that you got a positive admission result) to course 1TS033, Forest Products (7.5 credits) at the Department of Forestry and Wood Technology, Faculty of Technology. You are welcome to the course

Introduction
We will start with a brief course introduction on 19 January (13:15-15:00). This course will be taught in English. However, you can choose either English or Swedish in your final written exam.

Teaching is conducted in the form of lectures, laboratory work and study visits. Laboratory report, wood block exam/assignment, study visit report, quiz and final written exam are different course elements. You can find the course schedule here.

Meetings
It is possible to complete all course components remotely, and there are no mandatory on-campus meetings. For those who wish to participate in person, laboratory sessions will be held on 30 March (09:15-12:00) in the M-building labbhall, followed by a block review from 13:15 to 15:00. On 31 March, the remaining laboratory session will take place from 09:15 to 12:00 in the same labbhall, and the block exam will be held from 13:15 to 15:00.

If you do not attend on campus, you may instead complete the at-home laboratory assignments and write a wood-species report as a replacement for the wood block exam. All students must also arrange an individual study visit to a nearby sawmill or wood-product industry.
