Welcome to Linnaeus University

You have applied for and been admitted (provided you have received a positive admission notification for the course) to 4TS051, Forest Tree Breeding (7.5 credits), at the Department of Forest and Wood Technology at Linnaeus University. With this letter, I warmly welcome you and provide some brief information ahead of the start of the term.

If you have the opportunity, feel free to get a head start by reading the first chapters of the course book – Chapters 1 to 3. In this Padlet, you'll find an overview of the different parts of the course (in Swedish). However, the full course content will be available in the course room on Moodle, which opens on August 25 (see below!).

The course will kick off with an online introduction session on September 1, from 13:00 to 15:00. You’ll find the Zoom link in the course room on Moodle.
During this session, held via Zoom, you'll get an overview of the course and have the chance to briefly introduce yourself to your fellow participants. After that, we’ll dive into an introductory lecture on forest genetics and breeding.

More details about the session – including a short registration survey – will be available once the course room opens on August 25.

Lectures are mainly scheduled for Tuesdays from 08:15 to 12:00 and Fridays from 13:15 to 16:00.
