Welcome to the Media and Entrepreneurship Programme!

Congratulations! You have been accepted to the Media and Entrepreneurship programme at Linnaeus University. With this welcome letter, we would like to say welcome, and provide you with some brief information in anticipation of the start of the term.

 

Introduction

The programme starts with an introduction meeting on Monday, 1st of September, between 10-12 in the morning, at the room Ra0085K, which is located on the lower floor of the Radix building in Kalmar. At the introduction meeting, you will have more information about the Media and Entrepreneurship Programme. If you cannot attend the introduction meeting, please get in touch with Gabriela Marcolino ( programme manager) the day before the meeting, at the latest.

 

Student account and registration

At Linnaeus University, you have to register for the different courses throughout the entire programme. You will find information on how to do this at https://lnu.se/en/student/new-student/. Registration is required for you to be able to take the courses to which you have been admitted. Registration opens a week before the course starts.

If you have registered for a course but remain inactive during the first three weeks of the course, you may be deregistered in the form of an early withdrawal. You will not be notified of this, but you can see your registration status on the Student web. If you have been deregistered but want to remain on the course, you should contact Christina Björnvall at christina.bjornvall@lnu.se. Remember to state the course for which you want to re-register, as well as your personal identity number or coordination number.

 

Course- and programme syllabi and literature

In your programme syllabus, you will find a list of courses, semester by semester. Search for the name of the programme to find the programme syllabus and the name of the course to find the course syllabus. There is a literature list in each course syllabus. • Photography and Digital Publishing, 7.5 credits, 1MP707

• Video and Audio – Design and Narrate, 7.5 credits, 1MP708

• Project Production and Media Concept Development, 7.5 credits, 1MP709

• Introduction to Media and Communication Studies, 15 credits, 1MK600

• Creativity, Innovation and Change, 7.5 credits,

• Publishing – Genres and Context in a Changing Media Ecology, 7.5 credits
