4TS020 Forest damage in sustainable forestry for a circular bioeconomy
Welcome!
You have applied for and been admitted (provided you have received a positive admission notification for the course) to 4TS020, Forest Damage in Sustainable Forestry for Circular Bioeconomy (15 credits), at the Department of Forest and Wood Technology at Linnaeus University. With this letter, I warmly welcome you and provide some brief information ahead of the start of the term.
Introductory Meeting
The course starts with an introduction meeting on January 21st 2025 at 10:00–12:00 (Room K1051V at campus or Zoom - Meeting ID: 631 4001 2952, Passcode: 702584).
Scheduled Meetings
We have scheduled lecture time on Tuesdays at 10 to 14. In addition, individual or small group meetings will be arranged as needed (booked by emailing johanna.witzell@lnu.se or call 070-2950 820).
Meeting in Växjö: Week 15 (April 7–11).
The program includes demonstrations, discussions, group work, laboratory and field exercises, and a one-day excursion. A detailed program will be published later. We will not be moving through difficult terrain, but please bring warm and waterproof clothing, as well as sturdy shoes.
Accommodation in Växjö
We have pre-booked some two-room apartments at EasyLivin, within walking distance of the campus, bus line 3, and three grocery stores. If you do not have other accommodation in Växjö and are interested in sharing such an apartment, book no later than March 22nd by sending an email to easylivin@stubor.se. MyMoodle is the learning platform used at Linnaeus University. Here, you will find the digital course room where students and teachers meet. You log in with your student account (see above).
Technical Equipment
You will need a computer and a USB headset with a built-in microphone to participate in digital meetings and presentations.
