4TS021 Forest climate mitigation and adaptation

Welcome!

You have applied and been accepted (provided you received a positive acceptance letter for the course) to 4TS021, course in forest climate mitigation and adaptation (15 credits) at the Department of Forestry and Wood Technology at Linnaeus University. With this letter, we would like to warmly welcome you and give you some brief information before the start of the semester.

Introductory meeting

A short course introduction will be given on the 3rd of September, in connection to the first lecture.

Meetings and lectures

All lectures will be given in a hybrid form, with campus students on location in Växjö and distance students online on Zoom.

The meeting week 14th-18th will emanate from campus Växjö and include forest model labs with HEUREKA as well as excursions in the field with focus on climate adaptation. For those distance students, we have reserved beds in two-bed apartments. More information about this is available in Moodle.

Get a student account and register

You need to have a student account to register. At Lnu.se/new-student there is information on how to do it. Registration is required for you to start the education for which you have been accepted.

Moodle

Moodle is the learning platform used at Linnaeus University. Here you will find the digital course room where students and teachers meet. You log in with your student account, see above. Here you will find an introduction video to Moodle.

Technical equipment

You need a computer and a USB headset with a built-in microphone to participate in digital meetings and presentations. Read more
