Welcome to Linnaeus University
You have applied and been accepted (provided you received a positive acceptance letter for the course) to 1TS613, Basic course in forest management (15 credits) at the Department of Forestry and Wood Technology at Linnaeus University. With this letter, we would like to warmly welcome you and give you some brief information before the start of the semester.

Introductory meeting
A short course introduction will be given on the 5th of September, in connection to the first lecture.

Meetings and lectures
All lectures will be given in a hybrid form, with campus students on location in Växjö and distance student online on Zoom.

The meeting week 14th-18th of October will emanate from campus Växjö and include excursions, study visits as well as the obligatory field test in Forest Mensuration. For those distance students we have reserved beds in two-bed apartments. More information about this is available in Moodle.

Get a student account and register
You need to have a student account in order to register. At Lnu.se/new student there is information on how to do it. Registration is required in order for you to start the education for which you have been accepted.

Moodle
Moodle is the learning platform used at Linnaeus University. Here you will find the digital course room where students and teachers meet. You log in with your student account, see above. Here you will find more information about Moodle.

Tecnical equipment
You need a computer and a USB headset with a built-in microphone to participate in digital meetings and presentations. If you have technical issues, please contact the IT-support team for distance students.
