The assignment - My Heritage Materialised
Main learning objectives addressed:
o explore the concept of identity through design,
o practically apply design as a change agent in relation to their own contextual identity,
o conduct a design project in two-dimensional visual communication focusing on the concept of identity,
o in writing reflect on the experience of the concept of identity and its context from the perspective of sustainability
We evaluate:
(a) your text about your object related to your identity (short text, max. 500 word, layouted according to Luptons principles),
(b) execution of the two posters
- How have you translated your thoughts into a visualisation? (This always implies a selection - referring to your 500 word text)
- How have you visualised your idea? (Use of basic design elements like colour, shape, image, and final composition)
- Have you been able to move from a simple representation of your object (this is what it is) to a design that attempts to communicate outside of the ME (this is what it means to me)?
- How have you made use of different techniques for printing and visualisation?
