Welcome to Linnaeus University

This information is for students accepted to the 2-year master’s programme in Sustainable Structural Engineering at the Faculty of Technology at Linnaeus University. We are delighted to welcome you with this letter and provide some basic information.

Introduction

My name is Carmen Amaddeo, and I am the Programme Coordinator for Sustainable Structural Engineering at Linnaeus University in Växjö. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at  carmen.amaddeo@lnu.se.

Today, structural engineers face significant challenges, and among them are creating a more sustainable built environment while realizing good structural designs and construction solutions. Structural engineers need to develop thorough understanding of the possibilities and limitations of different materials and possess knowledge with respect to building elements and structural load bearing systems, to be professionally successful in the future. Within the framework of the program you are intellectually challenged by advanced theories of analysis, but also by more practical applications. You will be one of those who will be able to develop future principles for sustainable structural engineering. You can read more about our programme on our web page Sustainable Structural Engineering, Master Programme, autumn, Växjö, full-time, campus | lnu.se.

Preparations for the start of the semester
