4EN012 English in contrast
Welcome to the master's-level course English
in contrast (Course code: 4EN012). This 15-credit, half time course
will run during the entire autumn semester 2021 (30 August – 16 January). It will be taught by Magnus Levin in cooperation with Jenny Ström Herold.
You will find information about schedule and assignments for the course in the
MyMoodle classroom (more information below).
The course consists of three parts:
1. Lexicon in contrast (5 credits)
2. Phraseology in contrast (5 credits)
3. Grammar in contrast (5 credits)
We will have (at least) one Zoom meeting to start the course: Monday 6 September, 17.00–18.00

During this introduction, we will discuss the outline of the course, your previous experiences with corpora and your language backgrounds.

LNU uses a course management tool called MyMoodle. It opens about one
week before the course starts and you will need a student account log-in to be
able to access the course material there.
Note that you will have to register on the course in order
to be able to follow it, and that students who are not participating actively
in the course during the first two weeks will be deregistered.
If you decide not to take the course, after registering on it, please contact
our Ladok administrator (helena.ryden@lnu.se) so she
can remove you from the lists.
