Welcome to the Master's Program in Work and Organizational Psychology (WOP)!

We hope you'll enjoy your studies at our psychology department and that we'll have an educational and rewarding time together. This message covers the most important information you need before the start.

First, a note on how information reaches you. University-wide (general) information is communicated directly through the LNU webpage. However, almost everything specifically relevant to you is communicated through our learning platform, Moodle.

On Moodle, teachers will link to study guides, answer questions, and share other material (e.g., online lectures). It is also the basis for communication between students and teachers.

All courses publish their content on Moodle when the course starts, so it's important to check there regularly. Schedules, literature, and other details sometimes change. A good routine is to begin each morning by logging in and checking Moodle for updates.

Program introduction

The programme starts with an introductory meeting. The date, time, and place can be found on the programme's landing page:

https://lnu.se/en/programme/psychology-work-and-organizational-psychology-master-programme-120-credits/vaxjo-international-autumn/

The intro for the first course follows that afternoon. The rest of the schedule is shared through TimeEdit. For an overview of the programme schedule, enter SAPS2 and choose the year you start the programme (e.g., HT26) to see the available schedule:

https://cloud.timeedit.net/lnu/web/

At the course intro you'll meet me (Andrea) and the research responsible (Rickard). In the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to meet the case study organisation coordinator and the coordinator for the first course (Maria).

In this first meeting, we want to welcome you all, present the programme, and introduce ourselves. You'll also be invited to introduce yourself briefly. By then, we hope you'll have managed to organise your accommodation and student account. During this course, we'll also introduce you to what it means to study at Linnaeus University and the opportunities available to make your time here a great experience.

Accommodation

At all universities in Sweden, students are responsible for finding their own accommodation. For more information, please visit:

https://www.lnu.se/en/student/preparing-for-your-stay/housing/

If you need help finding your way around campus, see our map:

https://lnu.se/en/meet-linnaeus-university/contact-and-visit-us/map/

Pay your tuition fees

Some of you will need to pay a tuition fee. It's important to pay it in order to be registered and able to start. Information about tuition fees can be found at:

https://www.lnu.se/en/student/preparing-for-your-stay/paying-tuition-fees/

You can also email tuitionfees@lnu.se with any questions.

Student account and registration

As a student admitted to Linnaeus University, you'll need a student account to register, log on to the computer network, and access course materials, email, and other IT services at Linnaeus University.

At the link below you'll find information on how to get your student account, along with other useful information before your stay. You must register in order to start studying on the programme. Make sure you are registered for both the programme (SAPS2) and the first course.

Syllabi and literature

Please visit:

https://www.lnu.se/en/student/during-your-studies/course-and-programme-syllabi/

Enter the course code or course name in the search bar to access your syllabus. If more than one version is available, choose the latest one. Start with the programme syllabus by searching for SAPS2, and then look up the first course.

We'd like you to acquire the literature for the first course, since the course begins right away. Course literature is usually ordered online through book retailers, the best known being Adlibris and Bokus. Always check whether the literature or e-book is available through the library as well, as some titles are.

Interruption of studies

If you want to interrupt (cancel) your studies, please notify the education administrator: annica.olsson@lnu.se. This is very important, as it makes room for students on the waiting list!
