Welcome to 2EN10E/2EN100 English linguistics. This full-time course will run during the autumn term 2021 (2EN10E: 30 August - 16 January 2022, 2EN100: 30 August - 24 October). The course will hopefully run on campus but due to the COVID-19 situation it is possible that we will have to use Zoom instead.

The compulsory course introduction meeting and the first lectures of the course take place on 30 August, 15.00 - 17.00 preferably in Fe3059 (one of the seminar rooms near the English corridor).

Should this fail, we'll be using Magnus Levin's Zoom room instead https://lnu-se.zoom.us/j/8514496796

. Please keep an eye on updates and/or email Magnus Levin for updates. For the (potential) Zoom meeting, please log-in a few minutes before the meeting starts. Please use a headset and a microphone.

If you cannot attend the meeting, please contact the course coordinator (see contact details at the bottom of this page), before the meeting takes place. If you fail to do this, we will assume that you are no longer interested and give your place to someone on the waiting list.

Remember to purchase the literature before the course begins. Please note that literature marked as reference works in the course syllabus is not compulsory.

The course consists of two 7.5-credit modules taught by Fredrik Heinat and Jukka Tyrkkö, and BA theses supervised by, among others, Fredrik Heinat and Magnus Levin.

The English department uses a course management tool called MyMoodle. Please note that you will need a student account log-in to be able to access the course material in MyMoodle. This service opens about one week before the course starts.

Note that you will have to register on the course in order to be able to follow it. You can sometimes register online. However, if this does not work you will be registered when attending the compulsory introductory meeting.

For questions about registration and other technical matters, contact Anna Lundberg (anna.lundberg@lnu.se).

If you decide not to take the course, after registering on it, please contact our Ladok secretary so that she can take you off the lists.

For contact information and links to MyMoodle, schedules and other relevant information, please scroll down!

Please note that students who do not participate actively in the course during the first two weeks will be crossed off the register. If you have any further questions before the course starts, do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
Magnus Levin, course coordinator
