You have been admitted to the Master Program in Marketing at the School of Business and Economics, Linnaeus University. We have one of the larget Marketing Departments in whole Sweden based on the number of students and number of faculty members.
The Master in Marketing Program is continuously changing to meet the demands of students and industry. Our team of teachers have a broad knowledge of marketing and related subjects. They both work on the lates teaching techniques and advanced research in the area of Marketing. Representatives of the students participate in the program advisory board. The idea is that we together, students, teachers and industry representatives, shall create an enormously interesting and enriching education.
You and your fellow graduate students will have interesting years with me and the team of teachers. The principle teachers are Professor Anders Pehrsson, Assistant professor Setayesh Sattari, and my self, Assistant Professor Rana Mostaghel, your program director.
In a group of some 40 students, you will read the first two courses during the autumn semester. The first one will be Applied Marketing Analysis with me as responsible teacher. The second will be International Marketing Strategy, with Professor Anders Pehrsson as responsible teacher.
Introduction meeting The introduction is obligatory and it is important that you are there this day, as we will give the foundations of your future studies. To be registered on your programme you need to attend the introductory meeting on Monday, September 3, 2018 from 10.15 to 15.00.
The Växjö Campus of the Linnaeus University lies in an area of Växjö called Teleborg. If you come by train the easiest way is to take bus 7 from the bus station aside the train station. The bus will take you to the university.
Home assignment Summer is long and can give room for some preparations of your studies. I want you to write down your expectations of your years with us. What you hope to learn and what you hope to develop. Write also down what in marketing interest you most. Sum this up in a paper of not more than 3-4 pages. Send this to me not later than 25/8.
