Dear student,

Below you will find some practical information for the next semester. If you are going to study abroad, in another location or another faculty, go directly to the part Exchange Studies/Elective Term within your program.

To continue your studies, you should:

Register (one week before the start of the course and during the first week)

As usual, you should register on the course within the program you are study. Log in to Lnu.se/student and click Register here.

If you have trouble registering, it may be due to the following:

  • You were registered on the course before, and therefore, you should re-register when the course starts
  • You have changed programme, admission to programmes in progress
  • You had an approved leave from studies
  • The registration period is closed
  • You do not qualify for the course/semester (for prerequisites, see the course and programme syllabi)

Contact ekonomihogskolan@lnu.se for assistance with registration.

For students i Kalmar you will find information on current courses and permissions can be found on MyMoodle, under the heading Apply to programme courses autumn 2018, here.

Prerequisites information for the next semester

When applying for program courses via universityadmissions.se, a qualification assessment will take place.

You can already log in to universityadmissions.se and check if you are admitted or not for the autumn courses. If you are not, it may be because your results from the spring semester are not yet published. Note that a further assessment will be done during the summer and your status will then be updated. In the course and programme syllabi, you will find the prerequisites for each course.

In July, you will receive a letter of acceptance to which you should reply YES if you wish to continue your studies. If you do not want to continue your studies you register for cancelation of studies or would you like to take a study break apply for an approved leave from studies, see the section Cancelation of studies/Approvedleave from studies.

By the end of September and beginning of October, you will have to apply for your spring program courses in advance, the same way you applied for the autumn program courses in the spring term. More information about which courses you should apply for will be published under news in your MyMoodle program room.

If you are a student in Växjö and have studied abroad during the spring term of 2018, it is important that you send a certificate of records to ekonomihogskolan@lnu.se, as explained in our previous e-mail. Note that the credits will not be yet transferred into Ladok, but we need to see if you are eligible to study the autumn program courses. The application for credit transfer for exchange studies should be made according to the process that you will find here.

Course Start – Schedule

In the autumn, the semester will start September 3rd and you will find your schedule on TimeEdit. Please note that the schedule is published at the earliest 4 weeks before the start of the course. You will be able to see your schedule by logging in to Lnu.se/student after you have registered for courses.

Exchange Studies/Elective semester within your program

If you are going to study abroad, you should register for your exchange. You can register by logging in to Lnu.se/student and clicking Register here. This step is necessary to enable you to take advantage of the courses later. However, you will not register for any courses here at home. More information about studying abroad can be found here.

If you are studying an elective term within your program where there are courses owned by Linnaeus University, you should register in the same way as you would with your programme courses. If you are going to study courses in another university or free-standing courses abroad, see the university’s rules for registration, as you will not register for any programme semester or courses here at Linnaeus University.

Cancelation of studies/Approved leave from studies

If you wish to cancel your studies you must send a formal message to School of Business and Economics. If you want to apply for a study break, you need to submit an application form to the School of Business and Economics. More information on applying for an approved leave from studies here.
