6. Choosing 1-year or 2-year master

You have two compulsory courses next semester:

  • 4ME503 Interactive technologies for digital humanities
  • 4DH420 Digitisation of cultural heritage

After these two courses the semester is divided into two strands:

1) If you wish to take a 1-year master, you need to take 1 course (Master thesis in Digital Humanities -- first year master level, 15 credits).

2) If you wish to take the full 2-year master, you need to take 2 more courses (Linked data and Information ethics, 7.5 credits each) next semester, followed by another full year of studies. 

*You have to choose between the two options between 1 October til 15 November directly in your Ladok, when you log in with your student account at https://lnu.se/en/student/

  1. Option 1:
    • 4DH41E Degree project in Digital Humanities – first year master level (for you who want to finalize the programme after one year (a degree of 60 credits) by choosing to write a 15 credit master degree course)

or

    2. Option 2:

    • 4DH426 Linked Data for Cultural Heritage and the Humanities and
    • 4DH431 Ethics, Politics and Policies in the Digital Humanities

* We may be able to accommodate a small number of students switching between the two modes but please try to make the best estimate by 15 November.
