The course provides a central knowledge of advanced electrodynamics.
Focus is on the use of advanced mathematical physics tools to solve
complex electrodynamics problems relevant for several fields in physics.
Content: Maxwell’s equations, conservation laws and electromagnetic
potentials. Wave propagation in media. Simple radiating systems of
moving charges. Selected advanced topics, such as relativistic
formulation, radiation by moving charges, radiation damping, quantum
optics.
