  • Get Involved in Your Education
As a student, you have the opportunity to influence your education and study environment by becoming a student representative in various decision-making and advisory bodies at the Faculty of Technology.

Note: Some roles require Swedish. Not all meetings can accommodate participants who only speak English. Contact Linnékåren for details.

Student representatives are appointed by the Linnaeus Union (Linnékåren).

    Influence Content and Quality
As a student representative, you take part in the work of developing and ensuring the quality of education. This can involve everything from program councils to faculty boards or other forums where the student perspective is important. In these contexts, you represent your fellow students and convey their opinions.

A Good Starting Point – The Program Council
If you’re looking to get involved, the program council can be a natural first step. Here, issues related to the program’s content and structure are discussed. By paying attention to what is said in your class and among your peers, you can contribute to improvements that benefit everyone.

You can read more about the other bodies at the faculty that offer positions for student representatives HERE.

    Personal and Professional Development
The role of student representative gives you insight into how the university operates and helps you develop skills in communication, meeting techniques, and collaboration—experiences that are valuable both during and after your studies.

    A Meritorious Commitment
Being a student representative demonstrates initiative and a sense of responsibility, and it can be a valuable merit in future job opportunities.
