      The course aims to enhance doctoral supervisors' skills and competences in  enhancing doctoral students' employability.  It is a 2 ECTS course which will provide PhD supervisors with theoretical and conceptual understanding of the concept of Authentic Leadership (AL) and train them in critical reflection and application of AL in different contexts. Why connecting leadership with PhD supervision? Because every PhD supervisor ought to ask - do I lead people or do I lead dissertations? Depending on the answer we see what skills are being trained during PhD time.

      „The original academic training model was designed as an apprentice model for a single career pathway. In that model, the faculty advisor served as a mentor, guiding each trainee towards a future position as a tenure track faculty member.“ (Sinche et al. 2017) The model needs an update!
