This Moodle site is the online context for the Huminfra workshop on social network analysis (SNA) that takes place Dec 12th from 10.15-12.00 via Zoom (link available on this Moodle site). The event build on some previous knowledge on Gephi: you have downloaded the software, know how the interface works, and have tried to prepare and import datasets into Gephi.
The workshop activities are:
- Examples of suitable SNA research questions focusing on gender from studies on social media interactions and academic citation practices
- A tutorial on how SNA with the software Gephi can analyze gender structures of influence, centrality, and marginalization from provided datasets on social media interactions and academic citation practices.
It is the second of three workshops on social network analysis at Linnaeus University. The first workshop was themed "network analysis" and explained and explored what social network analysis and semantic analysis are, see https://lnu.se/mot-linneuniversitetet/aktuellt/kalender/2024/workshop-natverksanalys/.
The third workshop on social network analysis, "in-depth analysis with social network analysis," will be held in 2025 in collaboration with other Huminfra nodes.
